All England Ladies V Sutton Ladies
Sutton Ladies (in our capacity as National Champions) were invited to play a match against the All England Club in their splendid new indoor centre on Somerset Road. We were treated most royally and allowed to see parts of the club. which are not normally visible to non-members. A champagne tea rounded off proceedings. Best of all, our team, (resplendent in white) defeated a strong AELTC team ( including Laura Robson) by 3-1.
