Boadicea British Tour

On Sunday 13th August – Saturday 19th August 2023 Sutton Tennis & Squash Club play host to the Boadicea British Tour.  Our Enormous thanks & gratitude to David Crisp from Boadicea who continues to financially support this Premier Tier One event.

The entry numbers in both the Boadicea British Tour & Grade 3 Junior Tournament are impressive.   Singles entries for both Men & Women numbered 227 with entries for the various doubles events off the scale.
The grade 3 junior tournament was in touching distance of 200 entries. To accommodate these entries we are once again indebted to Sutton Highfields for their help & cooperation in using their courts. We are also discussing additional courts at the Downs LTC such is the popularity of this week. On this point please thank Peter Ward, Jason Smythe & Chris Pike who are all influential in making this tournament work.

Tim Pearce is the Tournament Referee with Alison Batista as his assistant. A third Referee might also be required.

The Clubhouse will be open for food & drinks from 9am on Sunday 13th August & will remain open until early evening for food on the Sunday but be available all day & through the evenings until the Tournament finishes. There will be a BBQ on Thursday 17th. A Tournament Menu will be published just prior to event starting.

Finals Day lunch is an open invitation to all members. We can only accommodate 60 persons & tickets are available from this evening at the Club. Cost per ticket is £15 per person & £10 under the age of 12. Wine/Prosecco will be served with lunch. The spread is spectacular. I should add that a considerable number have already been sold.

Members who have entered include Dani Hack, Srinidhi Madhu, Francesca & Amelia Tye, Josh Freeman, Zac Pacey, Dan Cardy, Ryan Storrie, Brandon Murphy, Alex Jhun, Jesse Clarkson & David Middleton. Jason Smythe thought about entering!!

Parking will remain difficult but single yellow lines are ok each day from 11am.
